Final Fantasy VIII

One player - 4 discs
PSX or PC
RPG

    Normally when I think Playstation, I think gaystation. No offence to anyone - but I really cannot stand the Playstation. However this is the game that changed my mind, in a very weird way. My friend Dana-Chan, the one who writes those columns I know you all read ( Lmfao ), introduced me to this whole series - and I'm really glad she did.

    The game starts out with a very long FMV, with many different messages encoded in it. The graphics were extremely powerful, the people look very realistic and they're cool. This game had about 1 hour of FMV which means it's basically a eye-candy game. Your eyes won't be disappointed or searching for a new target to focus on.

    There was great background music, that could make you feel sad or happy depending on the basic setting of the scene. I loved some of the themes, and in the Downloads section you can download some more. ^^;

    As far as replay value, this game totally has it all. I went back and replayed it three times. Never making it to the end each time - but hey, I had fun. There are many little things you can do to get a slightly different dialogue. Like you always get to a chose a party of three everywhere you go. If you just chose Zell, Selphie, and Squall ( Whom you always have to have in the party ), you would see a certain set of dialogue between Zell, Selphie, Squall and their enemies. However, if you had chosen Quistis instead of Selphie to play with you'd see different memorable quotes. I think it's very cool that Squaresoft put this in the game.

    And it also has a card game called Triple Triad. You can spend hours, and hours, and hours trying to get every card, and you probably will never have them all. Each region has TONS of new rules, and they can build up and start new rules when you spread the ones you just played with around. I love the card game and am definitely a Triple Triad Addict! ( And DAMN PROUD OF IT! )

    This game for me is up there with the notable Zelda64. Why? Because it has a totally engrossing storyline, gorgeous graphics, beautiful soundtracks, and just fabulous fighting systems. There are literally hundreds of different spells you can learn and that there are all powerful. It's just a superb game that has blown me away. The get N or get out girl has changed her views . . . when it comes time to buy a Dolphin or PS2.. I might chose the latter... Only Shiva knows.. >/

Three Word Summery: SeeD SeeeeeD SeeeeeeeeD! - Selphie
Bottom line: Go n' get it now! e.e;
Rating: 5 outta 5; This game should not be allowed to pass you up.
