We first meet Irvine Kinneas at Galbadia Garden- where we later learn that Squall was tricked. Irvine is somewhat over confident, but he's not exactly all that- seeing he freaks out when he tries to overthrow Edea. He's a loner, and a ladies' guy, but the ladies don't exactly like him.
His weapon is a gun (how original) and he's dressed like a cowboy. His attitude is laid-back, and his limit break allows him to deal out different damage with randomly selected bullets.
He cares for nature, and is a serious loner. And quite over dramatic. .. but he does add to the game.
