10 and over, a lot of gore
Rumble Pak (?)
I have heard rumors that the graphics in this game, are amazing and that they beat out The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's. Sure...what are they on?! The graphics are good, but they cannot compare to Zelda's! Zelda's graphics are great, but look, I don't want this review to turn into a Zelda brag..so I'll leave this topic. Anyway, the sound was great! I liked how in every level there would be a great narration of what the objectives were, what enemies lurk...and dangers to watch out for.I loved that (could it help that the person who narrated had a wonderful voice?)! I didn't like having to press a button to jump! I had gotten used to Zelda there (shame on Zelda!). The bottom line is that this game is for teenage boys who love gore and intense action! I mean every second there was some bad guy after me! (Ahhhh, save me mommy!) Maybe it's the fact that I don't like sudden and always action! I get shocked, suprized, scared (always looking around and saying "when is the next baddy coming to rip my guts out, uhhh heh shouldn't they umm stay where they are??" and numerous other things, takes away from the game. But, it's probably the fact that I am a female...and I hate kill everything in sight games, but I did like Bond...oh well. Why is it fun to kill everything in sight?! I like to explore...and fight, but not every second!I like a game where the main idea is not to kill all...oh well..what the heck..I liked this game half-way, but I understand lots more will like it..I just didn't like the style of game it is. Otherwise...it was pretty good for a shoot-em' up game.
****1/2 stars: I liked it, but I don't really like shooting games, I like games with more depth. It's my call, I won't give it a five for what kind of game it was...(ugh, decisions, decisions). But, it was good for one of those kinds of games though. I think it would have been better if there was more puzzles and intriguing things.
